The Cubs Just Put Up a SIX SPOT on the Mets in the First Inning

That was as fun as a first inning gets, man. Especially because it was against the Mets. Especially as the Cubs are going for the sweep.

David Peterson came out for the Mets walking the bases loaded before finally getting Patrick Wisdom swinging for his first out. But that’s when the parade of hits game, and they didn’t let up even after old friend Trevor Williams entered the game.

By the end of the top of the first, the Cubs were already up 6-0 and the hometown crowd was lustily booing the Mets:

Ten men bat. Seven men reach. Six men score. A good first inning! pic.twitter.com/H1IgcK5tuq
